The Mount Pleasant Area School District proudly supports student-athletes in a variety of sports as part of the Vikings athletic program. The district fields competitive teams in PIAA District 7 (WPIAL), including wrestling for high school and junior high athletes.

Although girls wrestling continues to grow as a sport across the state and nation, and female student wrestlers participate in practices, matches and tournaments, the district is currently in a development phase regarding a formally designated girls wrestling team. Interested student-athletes have opportunities to compete through the existing wrestling program and in events that include female competitors. Community interest in expanding opportunities for girls wrestling in the district has been part of ongoing conversations with the athletic committee and school leadership.
